Each winter, The Shaffer Team is proud to support Pickerington’s Olde Village Holiday Gathering & Christmas Tree Lighting, a festive celebration that invites neighbors downtown for holiday music, light displays, seasonal treats, and community cheer. This free, family-friendly evening brings cities and organizations together to spark joy, traditions, and a sense of unity—making it one of the most heartwarming events of the year.

Pickerington Chocolate Hop

The Shaffer Team is proud to support Pickerington’s annual Chocolate Hop, when local shops in Olde Pickerington open their doors for a night of sweet treats and community fun. For a small donation, participants receive a map guiding them from store to store for free chocolate goodies while exploring the historic village. Proceeds benefit the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society and local community events.

Picktown Palooza Car Show

The Shaffer Team is thrilled to sponsor Picktown Palooza’s Car, Truck & Bike Show, showcasing classic and modern cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Participants register on the day, and visitors probe the lineup until awards are announced. It’s one of our favorite community traditions—bringing together auto enthusiasts and families for a fun, afternoon celebration.

Pickerington Youth Fishing Derby

The Shaffer Team is honored to sponsor Pickerington’s Youth Fishing Derby, a free, early-morning event at Sycamore Creek Park Pond where kids bring their own poles and bait and compete by age group for “most fish” and “biggest fish.” Prizes, excitement, and community spirit abound—this tradition is one of our favorite ways to bring families together, foster outdoor fun, and support youth in our hometown.
